So. I didn't talk to Tosha about needing to polish my duelling (though, I guess, I need it, although who has the time? Oh, anyway, I'll figure it out). Did you?

Do you think it was Lestrange? Or Marvolo? I'll bet French-Finnicky's part of the reason we now have a duelling 'salle' (I mean, that's French, isn't it?).

And I'm not sure I like the way Tosha says Council disputes get 'spirited' as if pulling out a wand and hexing someone else is just all part of normal business.

Not that there aren't people I wouldn't hex just on a whim, if I thought I could get away with it. Weasel, for example, the way he tried to make it sound like I failed the whole side for getting hexed in Defence last week.

But whatever. Duelling. Fine.

I guess he really doesn't have anything else to do now that Lestrange and Marvolo are together.

Well, I asked him. We'll see if he decides to come along.

I'm just about to leave the library.

Listen, Blaise and I got to chatting after this afternoon's revision session and I thought you might like to start revising Defence as well. Since it relates closely to Noble Arts, you know?

Anyway. We're going to start meeting on Wednesdays instead of History Club and if you want to come, you'd be welcome. We might even invite one or two other people--select people, I mean, not just anyone--to use one of the empty classrooms up on the 4th floor when it's useful to practise.

Finch-Fletchley, if you come, could you bring that book you mentioned this afternoon? The one about spells that activate over long distances.

Also, Finch-Fletchley, has Macmillan gone completely mental? All through Charms he was positively staring at Jones. He cannot be serious. Tell me he was watching her because he was wondering what she's doing back here this year and not for the reason it looked like.

Seamus, I've got the magazine you wanted to read. I'll give it to you at lunch, all right?

Who's going to watch Quidditch tryouts tomorrow? Chang's been talking to just about anyone who can sit a broom, wondering if they're coming out for the Ravenclaw side.

Seamus, are you trying for one of Gryffindor's Beaters? I think they're using the pitch right after we are, so if you are, I'll stay and cheer you on.

If not, it'll be back to the books for me. In fact, I might have to bring my copy of Brandt with me, we've do much reading to do.

Oh, that reminds me: F-F, you said in our revision group that you've got a different translation of the Calidus. How different is it? Bring it along to Monday's session and we'll take a look.

I thought it might be useful to do a little strategising ahead of Saturday.

I'm looking forward to working with you both. I'm not worried about Su Li, she's actually really clever and pretty well-rounded. Bundy will be fine, too, don't you think? Depends on what we've got to do. MacMillan's strength is in keeping people together, at least from what I've seen, so maybe he'll do best at the sorts of challenges that require loads of coordination.

What about the third-years? Is there anyone we should definitely try to get early in the draft? Oh, and Zabini, do you want Mlle Durand on our team, or not on our team? Because I figure Draco will put his cousins on his team, and then Hydra will likely want Finch-Fletchley. And we have to have at least one each of Beauxbatons and Durmstrang, right?

So let me know what you two think and maybe we can all meet as a team, the six of us, before Saturday?
