I thought it might be useful to do a little strategising ahead of Saturday.

I'm looking forward to working with you both. I'm not worried about Su Li, she's actually really clever and pretty well-rounded. Bundy will be fine, too, don't you think? Depends on what we've got to do. MacMillan's strength is in keeping people together, at least from what I've seen, so maybe he'll do best at the sorts of challenges that require loads of coordination.

What about the third-years? Is there anyone we should definitely try to get early in the draft? Oh, and Zabini, do you want Mlle Durand on our team, or not on our team? Because I figure Draco will put his cousins on his team, and then Hydra will likely want Finch-Fletchley. And we have to have at least one each of Beauxbatons and Durmstrang, right?

So let me know what you two think and maybe we can all meet as a team, the six of us, before Saturday?

I don't know too many thirdies. Sandoval might be good to nab, if Harry doesn't pick her. In our House, if we can't get Hydra, Warrington is sharp enough, and Bode carries herself rather well. I'd recommend them. What about the third-year Ravenclaws?

Bundy's quiet, but I think she'll try her best and won't rock the boat or be disagreeable.

I'd be free on Thursday night -- perhaps that'd be best, because it'd give us a day to look up any useful spells we might need after we settle on a strategy.

Teds says he's in, so we should try to take him. And of the thirdies, Whitacre's got skills. I think we should prioritise him. Agree about Sandoval.

You're sure about Bundy? I think we should work out what happens if she lets down the side.

Yeah, I was thinking Sandoval, too. Our third-years are a thin lot, but Thompson, Rhys-Myers and Preece are all right. Rubens has an attitude on her but she'll do as she's told. Though I'd prefer not to have her unless we're completely stuck. duMaurier we might want to consider - do you know he's been spending nearly all his time with the Beauxbatons lot? Can't seem to get over the fact that he's British now and not French anymore. On the other hand, he's not a total waste when it comes to charms, so. Maybe.

Bundy won't be a problem. Pav and Lav can help us there.

But anyway, got to get to sleep now. Tomorrow - after dinner, in the library? There's a cozy table and fireplace right near Questions, Quests and Quiescence that hardly anyone ever uses. Meet there.

Oh, and while we're talking, Bones and I had a bit of an idea to throw a girls-only party for the girls in our class and our visitors from Beauxbatons and Durmstrang. I thought if you and your sister and Brown helped out, we'd have people from each of the Houses to host and plan. What do you think?

Sure, sounds brill. If only because perhaps then Midgen will stop going on and on about not getting invited to that get-together Saturday. (Honestly, was it really all that amazing?)

Let's talk about it more tomorrow? You're always a great one for the music and such. Makes a difference, don't you think? And maybe Greengrass could get her mum to send up some food, since it's ever so much better than what the elves can come up with for us.

Yes, Durand would be an asset, for certain. And thanks for asking. I shouldn't worry about losing Finch-Fletchley to Draco's lot: I don't think he's all that, if you know what I mean. They can have him. Especially if they have Hydra, as well. Of course, that team will have as much distraction as it can manage already. Can you imagine three less compatible people than Weasley, Finnigan and Draco? Glad not to be in the middle of that mess.

Sorry, Parkinson. But you've got to admit, it's true. Weasley's a menace and he's anything but organised. Draco must be going mad, trying to figure out how to keep him out of trouble and still win.

That's not quite the way I'd put it, but you're right that they aren't the best of friends.
