Nov. 3rd, 2014 10:00 pmI still can't believe he came downstairs in those Gryffindor robes. Did anyone say anything to him about it, do you know? I mean, can he even do that?
And then tonight, the tables? I don't know whether to call it a stroke of genius on Antonin's part or complete madness.
But what about Lana being named Head of your House? That should help you, don't you think? I mean, given how the rest of your House tend to take on airs. She'll put them straight.
You don't think Marvolo changed Houses just to keep an eye on you, do you? He's been chummy with Weasley since Malfoy was kidnapped, so maybe it's just so he can turn the Weasel into a new best mate.
I've also been thinking about what Antonin said about rooting out disloyalty. Obviously with Lana as your Head of House now she'll be able to detect any sign of treason but I think we have an advantage because we're a bit closer to things, you know? I think maybe that's why Our Lord wanted a younger group of Councilwizards, maybe, because we'll be better able to determine who might be growing into a traitor, because of what they're questioning or who their other mates are.
Oh, I just thought of something: Remember how Malfoy used to say that Longbum was hiding something? You don't think Marvolo's moved to Gryffindor to spy on him, do you? Himself?
Maybe he's decided to go...undercover, like an Auror. And he wants Weasley and Longbottom and the others to feel like they can trust him, so they'll tell him all their worst, most seditious thoughts.

Dec. 23rd, 2012 01:17 pmAre you still there?
I hope you are and it's not too late.
Listen, I guess Longbottom's told you already but I pushed him to ask Professor Dolohov about finding some other way to fix the Irish muggles without you having to get mixed up in it. And he said (Professor Dolohov, I mean) that he's got to do some research but he's working on it and not to give up hope.
So I dunno where things stand but if you're going to be okay, let me know, as soon as you can? And tell me if I can come see you if they decide--well, that they can do something else.
And if--if it doesn't--well, look. Write to me anyway. So I know. Because
Because not knowing until we get back will be awful.
(I can't believe that of all the people I could be talking to about this, it has to be LONGBOTTOM. But he didn't even hesitate when I told him to call over to the Malfoys' to reach Professor Dolohov. So I guess even a shite Gryffindor is good for something! And there, now you're smiling.)
Love,
Padma

Dec. 23rd, 2012 01:04 pmI noticed that Dolohov wrote to you, a message at the bottom of his post about our marks for the term.
Was it--did he have any news? Is he still working on it or --?
I could barely sleep last night. I can't stop crying. Every time I think I'm done I start over. Pav doesn't know what to think and I can't even think what to tell her.
I mean, it's just NOT FAIR. Well, you know what I mean, it's not like Seamus DID anything wrong.
There has to be a way to do what needs to be done without it being him. There just has to be.

May. 30th, 2012 03:03 pmJust so you know, I really don't have any idea who did it. And I'm sorry that it had to happen at all, but especially this week. Or well, you know what I mean. This time of year.
I saw the drawing, before Anderson got it down off the wall. It was well horrid. (Well, except that whoever drew Ron made his ears look hilarious. Sorry, but it's true. Oh, and Longbottom's buck-teeth were sort of grotesque. But then they are, aren't they? I mean, objectively?)
I think whoever did it might have assumed Seamus or me or Lav would get blamed but we decided last year that you've a right to pick your friends, even if they're nobodies.
I mean, look at Daphs. No one takes the mick out of her because she keeps Milli around and everyone knows it's so Daphne looks even cleverer and prettier by comparison. But Milli's loyal to Daphs and I think they honestly do like each other. And I know it's the same for you and your mates--that you like each other, I mean, not that you picked them because they show you off to good advantage.
Anyway. Just wanted to say. I'm sorry everyone's laughing at you. I hope you find a way to get them back.

Malfoy, you know how you were saying a while ago that there's more to Longbum than meets the eye?
Did you read this morning's Prophet?
Finnigan, better watch your back. 'Auror Longbottom' might just decide to use the Cardinal Curses on you if you don't treat him with respect!
Have you ever had any clue he might actually know which way to point a wand? I mean, when you were practising defence, before?
The papers seem to think it's remarkable, anyway.

Nov. 11th, 2010 10:14 amWell, that's over with, at least.
We're never letting Moon present at History Club again, agreed? Centaurs are one of those topics that ought to be amazing but in Moon's hands it's just.... I thought we came up with History Club to get away from Binns' lectures, not go to more of them outside of lessons!
Anyway, next week we'll do Founders' Night, yeah? That ought to get everyone back even if they left last night thinking they were done.
Do you want to spend some time on Sunday planning out what we're going to say? I could ask Parkinson and MacMillan to meet us in the library if we think it'd be helpful. I can't on Saturday anyway because we're practising for the first Model Wizengamot debate. You should really come, it's pretty interesting.
Can you believe Zabini? He's such a troll. I can't think what Daphs sees in him.
Oh, and I heard Longbum got another detention from Carrow! It's really astonishing that he can even function, isn't it? But I guess if Carrow didn't have Longbum to pick on, he might look elsewhere. He doesn't slag you at all, does he? I mean, aside from if you make a mistake. Does he care that you're the right sort or is he just all about halfbloods all being no good?

I always knew
Jun. 21st, 2010 11:00 amthere was something dodgy about you, Longbottom.
But I guess this morning's paper explains everything. It must be really terrible to live with that kind of shame in the family, even if you thought they were dead just like everyone else. I'm sorry you have to go through all this, really. It's so much to have to overcome.
I guess my question is, if everyone they knew thought they were dead, what did they want to go sending out a birth announcement for? And who else got it? I mean, it seems like an awful lot of trouble to go to just to send one to Sirius Black and no one else.
How d'you figure they knew him, anyway? I mean, the article gives some facts about them and I thought Black was much younger than that. D'you reckon they were mates at school or did they hold a big meeting one day for traitors and they all came to it?
Anyway, Longbottom, I can't really imagine what you must be feeling now, but it must be awful.
