Where are you revising today? Because if I have to sit and listen to Davies go on any longer about how terrible Diggory was to Chang I may just vom.

He brought her round the Corner again this afternoon. And she's still telling anyone who'll listen that Diggory dumped her by journal and he's only thinking about his career and she's 'holding him back' according to what he told her and UGH.

I liked Chang much better when she wasn't such a watering pot. And Davies has been playing the supportive 'friend'--as if he's interested in her as a 'friend'! I hope she knows he's going to dump her too, as soon as something else catches his eye.

Anyway. I just can't go back to the Corner after Prefects' meeting. Where do you reckon we can meet instead?

I figure you're not likely to be flying today.

I've just been sitting with Marietta and Cho. Cho's a wreck, too. Can you imagine being broken up with over journals?

I warned that that Davies will probably come sniffing; he's just the type to try to nose in on someone getting over a breakup. I don't know if she'll listen, though.

Maybe finding someone to snog silly is just what she needs, anyway.

Did either of you go to Zach's party yesterday? Most of Ravenclaw didn't go because Diggory had just officially told Cho it was over and she came back just when we were about to leave. So we stayed with her.

But Lakshmi, I hope she's not going to stay this upset for long. It can't be good for her to make him think he meant that much.

Still cross about not making the side? Only you've not been your usual. You were really quiet at the Prefects' meeting.

Here's something to cheer you up: Why do you suppose Cho Chang was binning a perfectly nice bouquet of flowers just after lunch today?

Three guesses.

First two don't count.

And in other news, I heard that Letchley didn't make it into first string for Slytherin, either. And Anne says she's grounded for about four weeks because of that collision with Smith and Stebbins. (She said she'd like to have hexed them both.)

So maybe it's not such a wonderful season to be playing, anyway. With your luck, Stebbins would knock you off your broom at 100 feet up.

having as much trouble concentrating in lessons as I am? Only it seems like things that are normally terribly interesting, like switching spells and cheering charms and the theory of relative tonality just aren't nearly as fun to think about as the ball.

I've been practising the charms to do up my hair the way I want for next week. Edgecombe, I think I overheard you and Chang in the girls' bathroom this afternoon. It was you two, wasn't it? I wouldn't ask except I thought I heard her say that she thought her eyes were getting puffy from all the crying and I have some of that creme that you borrowed last year after Carmichael. I've also got plenty of clips, if you or she wanted to borrow anything.

I don't think I've ever wanted lessons to be over and done for the term before! I'm sure I'm going to utterly fail every test, I just can't think. Does anyone else need extra revising?

Oh, and CCF, don't forget that we've a meeting this evening, after dinner!

get in the way of Jane Bradley or Octavia Anderson this weekend! I heard Anderson say that they're spending the whole of the weekend last-minute revising for O.W.L.s and that any student fool enough to mess with them will be used as target practice! They don't even plan to sleep, just stay in the Tower going back through all their lessons.

Which reminds me, I don't think last year's 7th-years were this mad about finishing N.E.W.T.s, were they? Maybe it's the Dementors or something but I think the relief that it's over has made some of them act downright silly. Burrow, Chang and Sandoval just came through the common room with a charm that made all the furniture dance about! And now they're talking about taking their brooms and 'buzzing' the village green - wearing just their undershorts!

It's utterly ridiculous. The common room's been safer than the Corner this whole week because they wouldn't let anyone near who wasn't absolutely well serious about helping them revise, but now that they're done they don't care who they bother.

If they do go riding their brooms without robes on, though...well, I hope someone lets us all know. It should be well funny to see.

I can't believe how quick some things happen. I got that care package from mum and now people are asking me about the animals--if I have more. Which I don't, I already told you, Daphne!

And then the Ravenclaw match! I was so worried for a while that Dames was gong to get blown off his broom--or nocked off by a bludger, hes that scrawny. Belinda and I must of squeezed each others hands till we couldn't feel our fingers. For a while it looked like Gryffindor would take so much of a leed we'd never catch up. Davies was so brilliant, really!

And Chang!!! She was amazing. Even if I liked flying, I dont think I could've ever made that catch, not in a million years. And if she hadn't done it right then, I'm sure Gryffindor would of scored again, too, and then we'd've tied or something. I wonder if we'd tied--d'you imagine Madam Hooch would've made them play again?

But anyway, we won. Amazing! If Quidditch was like that all the time, I might watch more. And more people wanted to know about the raven on my robes in the common room after. It's doing very well, even though Moon's little puppy is getting kind of squidgy already. I think its because Moon didnt pay any attention to his. I petted mine every night and its still looking chipper.

Well, then things didnt go so well. Well, they didn't for some people. They got really interesting for some of us, though! We were still celebrating when Stretton got back. I guess the Headmistress questioned him pretty hard, he didn't look happy at all. He was sort of limping, too. Anderson wants to be his girlfriend, I think. She went running up to him asking if he was okay and he was sort of sharp with her. A few other people wanted to ask him questions, mostly about what happened and if he was expelled and whether he told Professor McGonagall any other names. Bobolis (Leander, I mean) looked like he was either about to vom or do his nut, I dunno. Then Peakes, Xi Chang and Sandoval (the brother, not the sister) told everyone to shut up and then they took him up to the dormitories. I think they all went to see Frobisher and Calderwood--I guess they were up there all day--and that sort of left everyone else looking round at one another. Then the NEWT students kicked us all out, saying they ought to study a little because they start their examinations on Monday.

Which is my birthday!!! Mine and Parvati's, of course. I cant think of anything more nift than the Robe Pets, but I'm sure Mum and Dad will think of something. I wonder what Haruman will give us?
