Thank you so much for your advice this afternoon. I really appreciate it.

In fact, I'm already putting it into practice, as Morwenna Mullet will be able to attest.

She was disrespectful of Our Lord and of our work at Ollerton, so I Cruciated her very briefly, with a promise that I could have been much more severe with her had I seen fit.

I think her mates will probably take her to the Hospital Wing, even though I really only held the spell on her for about three seconds. But I know the Headmaster wanted us to report disciplinary actions, so I am reporting it to you.

If you have any questions about what happened, or if the Headmaster would like a more complete report, I'll be happy to provide it.

Thank you again. Your years of experience as a Councilwitch really are the best guide I could ask for.

I'm sorry you both had to go through that.

For the record, I don't think either of you had anything to do with the graffiti that's been popping up all over. I don't know who called you into question--well, I mean, Lav, I think you got called because you're a Gryffindor and he called all of you.

Blaise...I don't know what to say. I can imagine how much you hated what happened. It wasn't my idea--I just wanted you to know that I didn't take any satisfaction in it. At all.

I just hope no one gets any bright ideas to do anything else to annoy the Headmaster.

showed everyone what sort of stuff she has, didn't she?

Honestly, I'm surprised. I didn't think she had it in her.

Does anyone know if Slytherin can earn points if Harry wins the first challenge? I mean, they're ahead anyway but losing 100 in one go like that would be hard even if they were ahead by a thousand. It's a lot to make up.

Still, it does rather put Ravenclaw within fifty points of overtaking you lot. Which I'm sure was the furthest thing from Clearwater's mind but it doesn't hurt our standing at any rate.

Skating was really fun! But cold. Belinda fell down a lot. But then I found a charm that gave the skates an extra blade, so they'd be more stable.

Stretton has been impossible lately. Ever since the Quidditch match he's going about insisting that we'd have won if he'd been on the side. And he's refusing to share any of the jams his mother sent just before the quarantine started. He says he doesn't want anyone contaminating them. But really, the purebloods ought to be able to share in them, at least. He won't even share with Davies because he's all sore about getting himself banned from the team.

I think there must be more exciting things to talk about besides wand maintenance, though. I mean, I know Professor Sinistra did her best, considering that we couldn't have the programme she'd planned. But I'm glad we went skating after, because comparing wand polish is about as interesting as watching silk cloth weave itself (and I've seen that at my Mum's shop, and it's not that interesting).

Maybe Professor Lockhart could give readings from his books? Or maybe we could each pick a section of the Code of Purity and talk about it and why it's important?

Well, History Club has kept going. Luckily Finnigan has enough books to last us a while. And there's always the library.

Oh, did anyone see the sign-up that Rhys-Myers put up about a new round of AK? I don't much think anyone wants to play, because they're afraid of being caught hexing in the corridors - and then Moran or Sandoval would Cruciate them! Just kidding - Sandoval wouldn't really. There's a list of the things that are really, really bad and might get a Cruciatus if you're caught doing them, and playing AK isn't on it. Still. I don't think people are very interested in running the risk.
