I don't know whether he drank. I DO know who he was -- he worked some with CCF, actually, so you might have met him and he just didn't make any impression on you. Draco definitely met him -- Stint came up to us when we were walking around Cambridge last April (this was with YPL, I think? during spring hols) and butted into our conversation and annoyed us both immensely. After that I always noticed when he was there. Anyway, not that I wanted him DEAD or anything but I certainly understand why he was so unpopular.
Thanks for the information about the books -- I've been waiting and wondering. Philip Stretton needs his books, too, so I'll be taking him when I finally go to Diagon Alley. As far as the teacher goes -- so long as they don't find some previously unknown third Carrow sibling I'm not gong to complain.
